"I fought the law, and the law lost"...

(or "Never underestimate a good night's sleep")

A friend of mine by the name of Jerry Haley (a.k.a. Sgt. Psycho) found these pictures on a combat sim web site with no explanation. Being former Air-Force he did some research and found out the poop:

" Happened in Nov. 1999 at Eglin AFB Fla. Bird is an F15C serial number 80-0024 and belongs to 33rd Fighter Wing 58th Fighter Squad.

The SP (ed: Security Police) lost control while driving across the flight ramp. he and a passenger suffered minor injuries. The crew chief of the plane was climbing up the ladder when the plane was struck and he also suffered minor injuries.

The car was damaged extensively, ended up wedged under the centerline pod of the F15.

The F15C suffered damage to the underfuselage panels, port main undercarriage, and the centerline pylon. The port undercarriage inboard door was torn off, and damage to the centerline pylon clip attachment points was suspected."
